Recently, in Kyiv took place the Korean-Ukrainian "Smart Grid Forum" on the prospects of the Smart Grid technology development in Ukraine. South Korea is a global leader in the development and implementation of Smart Grid technologies. Collaboration with Korean companies will help to create the Smart Grid Concept in Ukraine and prepare a plan of measures to implement the Energy Strategy of Ukraine by 2035 in terms of reducing electricity losses for its transmission and distribution by electric grids.
One of the main goals of the forum was the signing of the Memorandum of cooperation in the field of electric power industry between the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and the South Korean companies KEPCO and KOTRA.
